Rental conditions

  1. RENTAL AGREEMENT
The rental agreement is concluded between the customer and the rental shop. The booking becomes valid for both the customer and the rental shop upon full payment and receipt of the e-ticket or on-site after completion of the rental process.

  2. AVAILABILITY
The rental shop is obligated to provide all sports equipment according to the customer's booking. If the specific sports equipment is not available upon the customer's arrival, the shop must provide a better or equivalent model from the current rental inventory at no additional cost. The rental shop cannot be held responsible for delays in the issuance of sports equipment due to circumstances beyond its control (especially in cases of accidents, delays in the return of previous rentals, force majeure, strikes, peak times in the rental shop, etc.). In this case, the rental shop will do everything possible to provide the customer with a qualitatively equivalent or better sports equipment from the available inventory.

  3. EXCHANGE
An exchange of the rented sports equipment is possible within the pre-booked category free of charge (except for model-specific bookings). If upgrading to a higher category, the additional charge according to the price list on-site must be paid. No refund is given when exchanging for a lower category.

  4. PICK-UP
The customer must personally present their e-ticket at the rental shop. Upon request, the customer must also present an official photo ID (e.g., passport or driver's license) for identity verification or age verification at the rental shop. The rental shop may make copies of these documents (in compliance with data protection regulations) for the proper execution of the rental agreement. The rental shop may also require a deposit for the sports equipment, which will be returned upon proper return of the equipment. The pick-up of the sports equipment is usually possible from the opening of business on the first day of the rental. The customer is responsible for informing themselves about the respective opening hours.

Late Pick-Up: If the booked sports equipment is picked up late or not at all by the customer, the rental price will not be refunded. Cases of force majeure, such as unfavorable weather conditions or other influences beyond the control of the rental shop, do not entitle a free cancellation of the booking. See cancellation conditions (point 7.)

  5. RETURN
The sports equipment must be returned by the customer on the last day of the rental period before the close of business. The customer is responsible for informing themselves about the respective rental shop opening hours.

Early Return: If the booked sports equipment is returned early, the rental price will not be refunded. In case of illness or injury of the customer during the rental period, the following applies (for the directly affected person) upon presentation of a medical certificate: A refund of the rental price is only possible if the sports equipment is returned to the rental shop immediately after the onset of illness or injury. Once Busslehner Sports is aware of such a case, the customer will be refunded the already paid rental price minus the time already used. A refund for online booked tickets is not possible in the rental shop but will be refunded online.

Late Return: In the event of prolonged use of the sports equipment and after consultation with the rental shop, the difference between the actual rental period used and the rental period already paid must be paid on-site at the usual rental prices.

  6. DUTY OF CARE
By booking, the customer confirms the accuracy of their personal data. These are used for the proper adjustment of the sports equipment. If the customer has provided false information, the rental shop cannot be held responsible. The customer must not independently alter the professional adjustment made by the rental shop. The rental shop checks the rental material for defects. If the sports equipment already has defects at the time of rental, the customer has the option – if the rental shop cannot rectify the defect – to exchange the sports equipment, or, if this is also not possible, to withdraw from the contract. The customer is fully responsible for the rented sports equipment and must use it carefully and in the usual manner according to its function and operating conditions. Transferring the sports equipment to third parties is not permitted. The customer must ensure adequate storage of the sports equipment when not in use during the rental period – this includes a locked room in the accommodation at night. In case of breakage or damage due to improper use or theft due to violations of the imposed storage obligations, the customer is liable for the repair costs or the current value. Theft must also be reported to the responsible security authority within 24 hours and reported to the rental shop without delay.
    • APPLICABLE LAW/JURISDICTION
All legal disputes are exclusively governed by Austrian law (excluding the IPRG) and the competent court at the location of the rental shop has jurisdiction.

    • DATA PROTECTION
The processing of personal customer data is carried out for the fulfillment of the rental contract and is processed exclusively for this purpose.
